History
1957
The President, a tool and die maker by trade, immigrated from Germany to Canada where he met his wife and together they established a successful mold and machine shop business.
1977
Re-established as a metal working machine tool distributor on Britannia Road in Mississauga, Ontario. The son joined the husband and wife team. In the 4000 sq ft facility, 40% of the area was used for tool and die work as well as testing new machine lines and 60% was used for showroom, sales, service, parts and warehouse.
1978
Started business relations with Kao Ming Machinery in Taiwan, who to this day manufacturer the everlasting radial arm drills and now also manufacture multiple series of large scale Double Column CNC machining centres.
1980
Started business relations with Long Chang Machinery in Taiwan who manufacture the well known brand "First" milling machines and now also have successfully branched out into the CNC market.
1981
Started business relations with Dah Lih Machinery in Taiwan who manufactured conventional heavy duty milling and bed type milling machines and now strictly manufacture CNC vertical and horizontal machining centres.
1984
Started business relations with Falcon Machine Tools in Taiwan who manufacture the reputable brand "Chevalier" surface grinders including handfeed, automatic and now also CNC.
1985
Business grew and re-located to larger premises at 6030 Kestrel Road in Mississauga, Ontario. In the now quadrupled 16000 sq ft facility, 20% of the area was still used for some tool and die work as well as testing new machines and 80% was used for showroom, sales, service, parts and warehouse. Heinman Machinery a family owned and operated business consisting of a husband and wife team, son and joined by three daughters was well underway establishing honorable long term relationships with its Taiwan suppliers. Representing reputable brand lines such as First, Dah Lih, Kao Ming, Chevalier, Kao Fong/Fortworth, Chien Yeh/Microweily, Sure First and Ching Yih/Michaellin.
1993
With great success introduced Dah Lih and First CNC Vertical Machining Centres to the market.
1997
1998
Due to spiraling business demands, larger premises were required and the company moved further down the road to 6105 Kestrel Road. The new facility, twice as large, encompassed 35000 sq ft and Heinman Machinery became strictly a metalworking machine tool distributor.
2000
To accommodate a CNC showroom an expansion to the existing facilities was eminent. With the 34% expansion to 47000 sq ft, an area of 15000 sq ft was strictly dedicated to a showroom exhibiting the complete lines of conventional tool room machinery and CNC machines all under power for demonstration purposes.

Launched the first Heinman Machinery web site.
2007
2011
To keep up with the changing technology, every two years the TIMTOS Taipei International Machine Tool Show is attended to meet with the engineers of the manufacturers.
2015
In lieu of open houses Heinman started to exhibit every two years at CMTS Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show at the International Centre - Toronto.
2019
With technology steadily progressing, there was a need to launch a new web site with a true representation of the array of models our manufacturers build and Heinman proudly represents.
